Best piece of college advice: Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try new things—whether it’s exploring different majors, joining organizations, or even changing your style. College is the perfect time for experimentation because you’re surrounded by a supportive community that wants to help you grow and succeed. Take advantage of this opportunity to discover the person you want to be!
Favorite New Orleans festival: Tremé Creole Gumbo Fest
Favorite weekend activity in New Orleans: Having a picnic at "The Fly" with good friends, food, music, and a lovely view of the sunset over the Mississippi river.
Favorite New Orleans food: Loretta’s crab stuffed beignets
Favorite Mardi Gras parade: Iris! They are an all female Krewe working to reduce the environmental impact of Mardi Gras by using eco-friendly throws.
Best place to go for a snowball: Chance in Hell Snoballs in the Bywater. It’s a pop-up that changes their menu very frequently, but every flavor is homemade and delicious!
What makes Loyola different than other schools? Loyola is unique because it blends the Jesuit values, the vibrant culture of New Orleans, and the diverse backgrounds of its students, faculty, and staff. This combination fosters a supportive community that deeply considers the impact of their actions on others, creating an environment where empathy and responsibility thrive.
Favorite Loyola event/tradition: Sneaux (Loyola's annual holiday celebration with "fake snow" and hot chocolate on the front lawn)
Favorite place on Loyola's campus: The study rooms in the Monroe Library that have windows looking over Calhoun Street.
